hmv.co.jp English site has the titles. The liners describe the Madigan as 1955 and 1958 Armed Forces radio b'casts. The Clooneys are radio b'casts with Russ Morgan and Ray Conniff. The Squires are 2001 recordings effected at London's Red Gables Sudios. The Boswell is the same as the original Design label release. Hope that helps.
I purchased the Connee Bowell release on SSJ and I've been meaning to ask: Was this release sourced from the master tapes? It sounds great on my stereo system but it sounds warm - like vinyl.
I ask because I was thinking of getting Barbara Lea's a Woman in Love and I saw that you mentioned that it was transfered from a 78? Were the master tapes lost?
Thank you Bill.
ReplyDeleteI can see songlists on the SSJ site, but I wonder if you might have any more descriptive comments on the content, or other commentary.

ReplyDeleteBill,
ReplyDeleteIs Imagination (Lucy Ann Polk) an unreleased cd or a compilation ? With Les Brown or Dave Pell, or ...?
Regards,
Patrick
The Lucys are w/ Brown, Pell and Stars of Jazz
