About Me
Bill Reed is a journalist and cultrual historian whose writings on show business and the popular arts have appeared in such publications as Rolling Stone, the San Francisco Examiner, Record Collectors (Japan), and Jazz Critique (Japan). He is also a record producer for SSJ Records (Japan) and has written for the hit TV series One Day at a Time. This fall (2009), a revised and expanded version of "Hot from Harlem," his classic study of African-American show business, will be published by McFarland Press.
