Is this "new" post 1956 info?
In 1957 Penton appeared on this show Bud's Bandwagon- http://www.worldcat.org/title/buds-bandwagon-409-part-2-buds-bandwagon-410-part-1/oclc/244105860?lang=nl
Oh, and it also has Bob Stewart on it!
And seems like they have been issued on LP...

Bud's Bandwagon appears to have been an Armed Forces Radio Network disc jockey show playing pre-recorded music. I WANT TO KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT HER LIFE POST-1956 AFTER SHE RECORDED, UGH, HOT ROD HEAVEN. Did she marry and quit the biz, was she rubbed out and outfitted with a pair of cement pumps, did she remove all id from her person and commit suicide and is buried in Potter's Field, did she move to the Dominican Republic with Rafael Trujillo, did she enter a gov't witness protection program, did she have plastic surgery and legally change her name, did she enter a convent? I could go on and on. . . Certainly, she had a social security card at one time, but does not appear on their death index under any permutation of Maria Katherine Penton (her real name.) Is she still living?
WHAT IN THE NAME OF GOD HAPPENED TO THIS UNCOMMONLY TALENTED SINGER WHO NO LESS AN EXPERT AS TEDDY WILSON PRAISED TO THE SKIES.
Well - it was post 1956 info, wasn't it :)
It's very clear that the lack of info troubles you!
If I ever find something (which seems very inlikely to me) I sure will let you know...
Perhaps you should create a page about her, with all the info you already have...Maybe someone who knows/knew her will stumble upon it...
