- Bill Reed's writings on show business, the arts and popular culture have appeared in such publications as Rolling Stone, the San Francisco Examiner, and International Documentary.” He wrote for the hit TV series One Day at a Time, and is also the co-author of Rock on Film (Putnam's). A revised edition of his book, Hot From Harlem: Twelve African-American Artists, 1890-1960, was published by McFarland Press in 2009. He is a producer of jazz releases for SSJ Records (Japan). He recently produced albums for singers Sue Raney and Pinky Winters that were released on SSJ in the Spring of 2011.
