In the long ago before-time, I wanted to be a radio dee jay the way some kids wanted to become a doctor or a rocket scientist. I also had my own kiddie radio show a few year before this contest. Eventually, in college, I worked part-time as a de-jay at the big (and only) "good music" station in town. Turns out I wasn't very adept at radio. Oh, sure, I could give the time and temp with all the authority of a young Westbrook Van Voorhiis (look 'im up). O/wise I had about as much on-air personae as a fruit fly. I finally ended up--gasp---at the country station in town under the moniker of---urp--- Bouncin' Bill Reed. If you ever tell that to a single living soul I'll never speak to you again.
