Thank you!
Hero
Do you have an idea why this isn't reissued yet? Not even in Japan!

I have no idea, but it's been a Baroque worry of mine for quite a while now. One wonders why bootleggers like FS or LPT haven't got it out there.????

You're so right....An why they reissue albums that are waiting for SSJ. (thinking about Carole Simpson's album Singin' & Swingin')

A questionable copy of singin and swingin has just been issued in Japan. Perhaps I'll upload my perfect transfer here in a few days. I was actually working on an official reissue when the boot-like release came along and killed the project which would have meant money for Ms. Simpson. Now, NO ONE will issue an open and above board copy. I have a rare stereo copy of the album. It's doubtful that even the recent issue is in stereo. I believe that the isssuers of that version get around the legalities by taking extra measures to make certain that the CD is NOT distributed outside of Japan. But it CAN be easily obtained nevertheless.

Bill,

I have a stereo copy of the Shirley Horn LP. Is your copy mono?

This transfer, such as it is, is from a stereo copy. This might have been one of the first stereo only albums. Ridiculous separation. Shirley is almost entirely missing from the right channel where only bass and drums are present with just a soupcon of leakage from the right channel.
